A black and white bathroom using classic elements that would stand the test of time.
The Carrara marble floor and tile for the walls are accentuated beautifully with the black vanity and shower door. I opted for the subway tile for the walls because it never goes out of style.

I wanted to keep the walls crisp and fresh so opted for bright white walls with the paneling painted in the same color. The black and white theme is incorporated in the rest of the space through the custom Roman shades and the frames for the artwork. I wanted to add a pop of color and some pattern to this otherwise monochromatic space so thought what better way to do it then to add a bench in a classic Chinoiserie fabric.

My first Kitchen renovation project was a true labor of love and I learnt so much during the process.
The vibrant wallpaper in the coffee station is a favorite. The counter stools are upholstered in the same printed fabric, which is a great way to tie the two separate areas of the kitchen together. Another great addition to the kitchen are the pocket doors that have a brass inlay in the frame to add some glamour to the space.

My innate approach to any space is to be current while staying classic. It’s easier said than done at times, as I am discovering with my oneroomchallenge. Will be sharing a few updates and the endless iterations, I have done over the weekend later today.
